Design time and machine time are billed differently, so you're only paying design rates for the parts of a project that actually need design work. Based in Nelson, but happy to work on projects nationwide — printed parts ship anywhere, and design-only work is entirely remote.
Photograph, send or bring in the original. I'll recreate it in CAD with any necessary modifications.
The starting point could be a dimensioned sketch, photo or description. I'll design and/or model it in CAD. Comfortable with straightforward parts and complex, free-form surfaces.
Got your own printer? I'll design the part and hand over a print-ready file, no printing involved. Same design rate — you just skip the machine-time cost.
Print only, if you already have a CAD model. Can advise on print settings and material choice to optimise mechanical properties. Ships nationwide.
CAD modelling, measuring, iteration and file prep. Quoted upfront as an estimate before work starts.
Covers the printer running, materials and post-processing. Charged on the actual print time.
